Oakland Heath at Alecto Recruitment is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join a prestigious main dealer in Leicester. This is an excellent role for an experienced and dedicated technician looking to advance their career in a premium automotive environment. The role offers a competitive salary of �32,000 to �40,000, with opportunities for bonuses and overtime, alongside a balanced working schedule of 42.5 hours per week, including a 1 in 4 weekend rota (Saturday mornings from 8 am to 12 pm).

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines and standards.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Carry out routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake checks, and engine diagnostics, ensuring vehicles meet road safety standards.
• Manage pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure all new vehicles are road-ready.
• Collaborate with the Service Advisors and Parts department to ensure smooth workflow and timely repairs.
• Deliver excellent customer service by providing accurate reports on repair and maintenance work.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, tools, and repair methods through continuous learning and training.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent qualification).
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within a main dealer environment.
• Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding, using the latest technology and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent mechanical and technical skills with an ability to perform both routine and complex repairs.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
