Vehicle Technician | Rugby | Monday to Friday, alternate Saturdays | £36,000-£40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
Our client is a family run Land Rover specialist based in Rugby, it has been established for over 50 years working to ensure the highest quality workmanship and customer satisfaction levels are kept to a high standard.
The role of Automotive Technician requires you to display a professional appearance and attitude to your work at all times reassuring your customers that you understand requirements and that you have their best interests at the heart of all that you do for them.
You will need to be an excellent communicator and convey a clear and accurate message between all work colleagues and potentially the client. You will play a key role in maximising productivity within the company's service department and will work very closely with the Workshop Supervisor.
To that end, you will need to be organised and methodical in your approach.
Are you the right person for the job?
Current experience working as an Automotive Technician or experience working in a similar role.
You must have a minimum Level 3 Qualification with preferably an MOT licence although that is not essential
Have good time keeping and presentation qualities
Commitment to delivering technical excellence
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task within a busy environment
A good standard of verbal and numerical reasoning
A keen eye for detail
Computer literate
The company cater for all makes, models, and sizes but they specialise in 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles, Sports Utility Vehicles, and Land Rovers, so some knowledge or experience in these types or brands would be useful but not essential
What will your role look like?
To carry out vehicle maintenance and repair work as delegated by the Workshop Supervisor
To correctly diagnose vehicle faults using Diagnostic equipment and utilising technical help lines if required
To complete fully all associated administration tasks relating to the maintenance work carried out as listed.
To carry out any day to day housekeeping duties to ensure that the workshop area is clean and tidy and is a safe working environment supporting a culture of safe working.
To carry out any tasks contributing to a safe working environment as delegated by the Workshop Supervisor.
To contribute to maintaining workshop equipment as required to ensure equipment is safe and reliable to use.
To conduct any duty that supports the day to day operation of Douglass Motors Ltd.
