Job Title: Vehicle Technician

My client is a well-established and reputable motor group in Cornwall, known for delivering exceptional customer service and quality automotive repairs. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join their dynamic team.



This is a full time permanent position offering an annual salary between �30,000 - �50,000 depending on experience, working Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings on an rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance on cars and light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with manufacturer standards.

  • Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and your technical expertise.

  • Conduct repairs and replace parts where necessary, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and safe.

  • Complete vehicle health checks and provide detailed reports to customers on work carried out and any further repairs required.

  • Maintain accurate records of service work, parts used, and time spent on each job.

  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the workshop.

  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.

  • Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and vehicle models.

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of all tasks.



Qualifications and Skills:




  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).

  • Experience as a Vehicle Technician, with a strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.

  • Full UK driving license.

  • Previous experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models is desirable.
