The Supply Register is currently working in partnership with The Avenue School in Brent to find a Verbal Behaviour trainee to join their team from September 2024. This role is being offered on a temp-perm basis, with the right candidate being offered the opportunity to progress from a trainee position.

The school

The Avenue School is a school which is currently growing to reach its full capacity of 104 students. The school serves those with Autism and Complex needs. The Avenue School is a part of The Rise Partnership Trust whose mission is ‘Love, Learn, Laugh’. Their key aim is to improve pupils’ lives and outcomes through outstanding educational practice and provision, while also setting challenging and aspirational goals designed to empower pupils and enhance their life choices. 

The Role

We are looking to find and appoint a Verbal Behaviour Trainee to join this vibrant and welcoming specialist school. This post will provide in house training programme to from the existing verbal behaviour specialist staff and provides an excellent learning opportunity. The Avenue’s staff teams are positive and enthusiastic about ensuring all pupils reach their unique potential by offering a broad and balanced curriculum personalised to meet their individual needs. 

Requirements

• Someone with excellent communication skills
•  Applicants who have the willingness to learn
• Applicants who have a keen interest in developing skills in Verbal Behaviours
• Some experience or knowledge of autism and/or severe learning difficulties would be an advantage
• Applicants who are interested in developing their knowledge and understanding in evidence-based teaching methods (or in Verbal Behaviour/ABA).
• Must hold the RTW for the UK, this role does not offer Sponsorship
• Must hold an Enhanced DBS
• Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 professional references to cover the last 2 years
