Vessel Operations Support EngineerBased Onshore in DubaiExcellent Salary and family benefits offeredMandatory: Shore-based experience as Vessel Superintendent/ Chief Engineer/ Electro Technical Officer onboard offshore DP2 vessels.RoleThe Vessel Operations Support Engineer plays a crucial role within the Vessel Operations department, providing vital operational and maintenance support to the Company’s owned and operated vessels. This position is integral in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of vessels, as well as the proper maintenance and repair of vessel equipment.Responsibilities:• Aid in maintaining vessel certification and structural inspection documentation in compliance with regulatory and certifying bodies.• Develop scopes of work for significant maintenance and shipyard projects, managing planning, review, construction, and installation phases.• Review inspection reports and offer recommendations to Management for improvements.• Prepare detailed rig move plans.• Work with external service companies, OEMs, and internal resources on special projects and maintenance investigations.• Track vessel performance through regular benchmarking and collaborate on improvement initiatives.• Assist vessel teams with the implementation and enhancement of the Preventative Maintenance Programme.• Ensure all equipment failure reports are completed and submitted to the appropriate managers.• Manage the repair and return process of equipment sent to shore for inspection or repair.• Support in the management of warehouse inventory.• Assist with budget preparation and cost control for vessels.• Participate in investigations of incidents as needed.Requirements:• Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) relevant qualifications.• BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.• At least 3 years of shore-based experience as a Vessel Superintendent, Chief Engineer, or Electro Technical Officer, with significant experience on offshore Dynamic Positioned Level 2 (DP2) vessels.• Comprehensive knowledge of Self Elevating Units (SEU), Fast Support Intervention Vessels (FSIV), Platform Supply Vessels (PSV), and Diving Support Vessels (DSV).
