About the Role
As the Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the practice while delivering hands-on, high-quality care. You'll be a leader within the team, with the opportunity to influence and guide a positive, compassionate atmosphere for both staff and patients. In this role, you'll be entrusted with a variety of cases and responsibilities, making every day as rewarding as it is fulfilling.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide expert clinical care, including consultations, diagnostics, and surgeries.
Lead a collaborative team, working closely with the RVN to ensure high standards of care.
Build long-lasting relationships with pet owners and educate them on best practices for their pets' health.
Handle a diverse caseload, including routine check-ups, emergency care, and complex medical cases.
Be the go-to vet in the practice, making decisions and overseeing the day-to-day operations.
Support and mentor junior team members, ensuring their growth and development.
Requirements
Registered Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS).
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a qualified vet surgeon.
Comfortable working as the sole charge vet in a practice.
Strong communication skills, with a compassionate approach to both pets and pet owners.
Ability to work well within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
