Vacancy: Vocational Skills Coach - Housing
Location: Field Based
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours per Week: 37.5
Working Hours: Flexibility required between 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM (core hours 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

As part of their commitment to transforming lives through learning, they are seeking a Vocational Skills Coach (VSC) - Housing to support and inspire the next generation of professionals.
As a Vocational Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in coaching and mentoring learners in the Social Housing sector (up to Level 4). Through monthly progress reviews and online training via Microsoft Teams, you will ensure learners receive high-quality teaching, assessment, and support. While delivery is primarily online, occasional in-person visits to learners and employers may be required.
Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver structured training programmes, ensuring a robust Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and continuous learner progress.
  • \n
  • Maintain up-to-date learner records, ensuring compliance with management reporting and audit requirements.
  • \n
  • Provide coaching in Functional Skills where required, ensuring learners receive the necessary support for progression.
  • \n
  • Offer exit guidance to learners, supporting their career development and future goals.
  • \n
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring consistency and fairness across the apprenticeship programme.
  • \n
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with the client’s expectations.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with business support teams to enhance the learner experience.
  • \n
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous professional development (CPD).
  • \n
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with learners, employers, and stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Promote equal opportunities, diversity, and safeguarding practices in line with company policies.
  • \n
Essential Skills & Qualifications
    \n
  • Vocational experience in the Social Housing sector.
  • \n
  • Proven track record of meeting performance targets.
  • \n
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use e-portfolios for planning, marking, and tracking learner progress.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • \n
  • \nSector qualification in Social Housing.
  • \n
  • \nLevel 2 (or above) in Maths & English.
  • \n
  • \nLevel 3 Teaching Qualification (AET, PTTLS) & Level 3 Assessors Qualification (CAVA).
  • \n
Key Performance Indicators

  • Manage a caseload of up to 42 learners.
  • \n
  • Ensure high retention and achievement rates.
  • \n
  • Maintain less than 5% of learners exceeding planned end dates.
  • \n
  • Maintain consistent engagement with learners and employers.
  • \n
