Job Title: Voluntary & Community Sector Surveyor Location: England, Greater London, London Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Primary Industry: Public Sector Secondary Industry: Property and Real-estate Salary: £56,172 - £59,328 Benefits: Local Authority Package (Pension Scheme, Annual Leave, Season Ticket Loan) Job Description: As a Voluntary & Community Sector Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys, assessments, and valuations of properties within the voluntary and community sector. Your role will involve providing expert advice and guidance on property acquisitions, disposals, and management within the public sector. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and best practises in property and real estate management.
Job Duties: Conduct surveys and valuations of properties within the voluntary and community sector
Provide expert advice on property acquisitions, disposals, and management
Ensure compliance with regulations and best practises in property and real estate management
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives
Prepare reports and presentations on property assessments and recommendations
Required Qualifications: Relevant degree in Surveying, Real Estate, or a related field
Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) is desirable
Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in property surveying and valuation
Experience working within the public sector or voluntary sector is advantageous
Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of property laws, regulations, and standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in property valuation software and MS Office
Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Property Management or Surveying
Membership of relevant professional bodies
Working Conditions: This office for this role is based in East London (once a week) with regular travel to various sites within the region. Standard working hours are full-time, with occasional flexibility required to meet project deadlines and attend meetings.
