At Salvation Army Homes, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement for people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Volunteer Counsellor to join the team based in our supported housing service in St Austell.
To help us with our mission to transform lives of some of the most vulnerable people by providingone to one talk therapies for over 18s.Residents may have experienced trauma and or have complex needs. We want to offer this service as part of their journey to progression from being homeless, to being independent.

You will receive regular 1:1 Supervision sessions (nonclinical)
About The Candidate
As a Volunteer Counsellor you will need to: Beable to show the core conditions of counselling
Be in your second year or completed at Advanced diploma level/ degree level
Will have already completed 50 Counselling hours.
Have some experience of working with clients with complex needs.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required and obtained through Salvation Army Homes.
