Warehouse Manager

Vickerstock are working in partnership with an FMCG firm based in Belfast on the appointment of a Warehouse Manager. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team made up of a Warehouse Supervisor, a Goods in Supervisor, a Stock Controller and a team of around 12 Operatives. If you have a been working at Supervisory level for a minimum of 2 years managing a similar sized team, you will be considered. What's in it for you? Starting salary of up to £40,000 Healthshield cash plan In your new role: With a strong focus on continuous oversee receiving, sales order picking, packing, shipping, manpower planning, value added services and QA Manage of order processing and stock management systems Work closely with the procurement team for management of stock Monitor KPI's for Distribution Costs, Pick Rates, Inventory, Warehouse Efficiency Levels, Attendance and Inbound & Outbound service levels Optimise physical material flow by identifying and eliminating safety hazards and waste Identify any problems relating to the product, process, and quality and implement effective cost-conscious solutions Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues, and procedures of your direct reports Ensure that facilities are maintained in a clean and safe manner and emphasise good safety practices through safety awareness training programs, and policies Ensure all employees are trained in the safe operation of equipment Develop relationships with key transport suppliers What you will need to succeed: Minimum of 2 years experience managing a team in a fast paced warehouse Educated to A Level / HND level Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems For a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can support you with your next move, get in touch with Chris our Supply Chain specialist today.
