Position: Stores Manager
Location: Southampton
Rate/Salary: Dependant on experience
As a Stores Manager / Warehouse Manager / Stock Control Manager your will be responsible for stock ordering, and understanding of production stock requirements, this role will be based in Southampton. The ideal candidate will need to ideally have a engineering stores marine background,, you will be working for a high performance tender company.
Duties and responsibilities of the Stores Manager / Warehouse Manager / Stock Control Manager:
• Stock control, loss prevention, goods in and goods out
• Ensuring production levels, and to follow build specs are understood and managed to maintain appropriate stock levels
• Streamlining the stores process to enhance efficiency, organisation, and overall productivity
• Ensure the stores area remains clean and organised at all times
• Make sure items and products are signed out to individuals consistently to track assets
• Liaise with Purchasing to monitor and replenish consumable stock levels regularly, avoiding production delays
• Sources products to ensure optimal value and competitive pricing.
Qualifications and requirement for the Stores Manager / Warehouse Manager / Stock Control Manager:
• Have strong knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• A full UK driving licence, along with a forklift licence, is desirable
• Be able to travel to work in Southampton for work on a daily basis.
