This role requires someone with a strategic mindset and the ability to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be expected to implement continuous improvements, monitor performance metrics, and ensure a high level of service delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage and support a team across a 24/7 operational environment, ensuring performance goals are met.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety across the team.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operational requirements of the warehouse, including rota management, staff scheduling, and the planning of resources.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, set targets, and ensure staff are trained to perform their roles to a high standard.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational challenges promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
  • Staff Development: Oversee recruitment, induction, and ongoing training to ensure staff are capable, motivated, and equipped for their roles.

  • Management Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of management experience in a similar role within logistics or distribution.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in distribution or logistics is essential, and knowledge of the parcel industry would be an advantage.
  • Health & Safety Expertise: A sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
  • IT Proficiency: Competence in using IT systems and Microsoft Office to manage operations and report on key performance indicators.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to motivate, manage, and develop teams.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.

What’s In It For You?

  • Competitive Salary with Annual Pay Awards
  • 31 Days Annual Leave to maintain a healthy work-life balance
  • Pension Scheme with up to 4x Life Insurance
  • Cycle to Work Scheme to promote health and wellbeing
  • Eye Care Benefits
  • Professional Development: Ongoing learning and career progression opportunities

At InPost/Menzies Distribution, we are committed to fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment. As a Warehouse Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our operations and make a significant impact on our continued success. If you have a passion for operational excellence and are ready to lead a team to achieve outstanding results, we invite you to apply.
