Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver

My client a well established manufacturing and distribution company are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join there dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently handling goods and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

The working hours are 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday.

Due to relocation this role is initially starting in Blackburn but moving to Burnley in 1 months time. The right candidate must be able to commute to both sites.

Duties

• Movement of finished goods/ & move to the nominated area of the factory & warehouse


• Issue raw materials & packaging from warehouse to factory and visa-versa


• Change bins for factory waste


• Metal detect bulk stock as required


• Wrap, secure & label pallets for onward transportation


• Work with the Packing Supervisor to organize the production stock holding and moving pallets up & down on the mezzanine floor as necessary

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential


• Valid FLT counterbalance - required. Bendi FLT Licence - Desirable.


• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.


• Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is desirable.


• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.


• A proactive attitude towards safety and adherence to health regulations within the warehouse.
