We are hiring for a Warehouse Operative to undertake loading/offloading, and general warehouse duties at our client’s distribution centre in Chaddesden. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where you'll play an essential role in fulfilling customer orders.

Duties of a Warehouse Operative:
As part of the Logistics and Warehouse team, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely load and unload goods from lorries or containers, using forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
• Inspect, repack, or rework products to meet quality standards before dispatch.
• Help organise and label inventory, placing items in allocated areas.
• Maintain tidy workspaces by disposing of waste, sweeping, and keeping pathways clear.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, conducting regular checks.
• Support stock rotation and ensure items are positioned for efficient space use and easy access.

Skills and Experience of a Warehouse Operative:
To succeed in this role, previous experience with:

• Working in a similar warehouse or logistics role is advantageous

It would be beneficial to the Warehouse Operative role if you also had:

• Strong communication skills, especially in spoken and written English
• Access to reliable transportation; the site is accessible by car, public transit, walking, or cycling
• A team-oriented attitude and attention to detail
