Warehouse Operative

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative?�

Location:�TATA Steel,�Llanwern Works, Newport NP19 4QZ

Rate:��11.66ph basic. 25% shift allowance �14.58ph.�

Overtime also available at 1.5 (�17.49ph) and 2.0 (�23.32ph)

Contract length:�6 months initially�

Shift Patterns:�37.5 hours, alternating weeks: Week one X4 12 hour shifts and Week two X3 12 hour shifts�

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring material dispatched as per clients request


• Loading and receiving goods on an inbound and outbound basis�


• Adhering to Health and Safety at all times�


• General housekeeping including but not limited to stock takes, quality checks, reporting damages


• Operating machinery as part of the role (training provided)�

Essential requirements:

• DRIVING LICENCE AND ACCESS TO OWN VEHICLE


• Previous experience within a Warehouse or Production environment�


• Ability to work as a team-player�


• Strong verbal and written communication skills


• Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation�


• Able to conduct manual handling duties including bending, lifting bulky items and being on foot for long periods�
