We are currently recruiting for a Water Hygiene Manager to work across several sites in the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area.  Working as a specialist in part of a complex estate, we are looking for someone who is experienced in water system maintenance  - overseeing the minimisation of legionella whilst managing the water distribution systems on the sites including water tanks. This is very much a client facing role and you will hold meetings with senior site staff to discuss and update on matters water hygiene related as well as managing all reports and audits.

Duties of the role include:


  • Working with the on-site estates team to ensure safe water systems across all sites
  • Working in an advisory capacity to ensure work is completed
  • Manage the PPM and reactive work via subcontractors
  • Be the RP/AP for the water systems
  • Control all water borne diseases including legionella
  • Monitor an inspect the disinfection of water tanks and systems
  • Monitor temperature of hot and cold water supplies
  • Work line with HTM guidelines
  • Deliver on site staff training
  • Working with high level stakeholders and attending meetings to discuss the site water systems
  • Create accurate and compliant paperwork trails used in audits and site meetings.
  • Working to stringent health, safety and compliance regulations in a sensitive environment.

The ideal person for the role will have the following skills and qualifications:


  • Extensive experience in water management in a commercial/industrial settings
  • Recognised training/qualification in  Water Systems
  • Desirable  - knowledge of HTM04
  • Experience working in a complex environment managing issues such as legionella
  • Ability to communicate well to people of all levels
  • Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and accompanying paperwork
