WCA Nurse Assessor br br All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying. br Take on a new challenge and further your career as a WCA Functional Specialist! br This is an exciting hybrid working opportunity for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a leading, multi-national employer with Full time and Part time roles available. br As a WCA Functional Specialist you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments of the claimant’s health conditions or disabilities and the impact on their daily life for the Government’s Work Capability Assessment (WCA) benefit. br Benefits Include: br _ Basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500 + Bonus _ br Working Hours: 9am – 5pm br Home/Clinic split 20/80 after training br Full time & Part time working hours available br Training: Full time up to 12 weeks, with a reduction to Part time hours if chosen thereafter. br 25 days Holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service br Company Laptop and Mobile Phone provided br Access to Health & Wellbeing programme and Headspace mobile app br Annual charity day br Employee network groups br Company matched pension br Life assurance br 15 weeks’ paid maternity br Cycle2work scheme br _\ Please note, initial 5 week training will be based in Newtownabbey._ br Your New Role: br As a Functional Specialist your job will be taking account of a wide range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the individual to conduct a thorough assessment and delivering Work Capability Assessment reports. br Prepping each case prior to assessment and reaching evidence-based conclusions for each individual. br As a WCA Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion which includes gathering further evidence and returning all required documentation to the department. br You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments. br You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings. br Requirements br Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic. br 1+ years post qualification experience. br Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions. br Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy. br REF: INDWCA br Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent br Pay: £38,500.00-£41,500.00 per year br Benefits: br Company pension br Cycle to work scheme br Employee mentoring programme br Enhanced maternity leave br Free or subsidised travel br Free parking br Health & wellbeing programme br Paid volunteer time br Referral programme br Sick pay br Work from home br Schedule: br Monday to Friday br No weekends br Experience: br Nursing: 1 year (required) br Licence/Certification: br NMC (preferred) br Work Location: In person br Reference ID: MPWCA
