Main duties include:

\n
• Providing Support set out in care plans to meet the child's day to day needs.
\n
• Promoting their safety and well-being protecting them from harm
\n
• Cooking, cleaning, and supporting the young person in developing their life skills
\n
• Supporting the child's engagement with Education, training and employment.
\n
• Facilitating engagement with broader support services and health appointments
\n
• Transporting young people as and when necessary
\n
• Adhering to Philomena Protocol if children go missing from home
\n
• Maintaining a daily log / incident report and completing a full handover with colleagues
\n
• Adhering to all organisational policies relating to safeguarding, Health and Safety and general data protection regulation
\n
• Promoting good relationships with neighbours and the wider community
\n

Personal Specification - in order to be considered for this role you must fit the following criteria:

\n
• A minimum of 6 months experience working with Children and Young People in the health and social care sector
\n
• Have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young Person's Health and Social Care OR be willing to work towards this qualification
\n
• Experience working with challenging behaviour and/or complex needs
\n
• Be reliable and professional
\n
• Preferably hold a current, transferable DBS (registered on the update service)
\n
• Preferably hold a clear driving licence, with access to a vehicle
\n

Working hours:

\n
• Weekend Work
\n
• 12 hour day and nights
\n
• 6 hour respite
\n
