Main duties include:
\n
\n- Providing Support set out in care plans to meet the child's day to day needs.
\n- Promoting their safety and well-being protecting them from harm
\n- Cooking, cleaning, and supporting the young person in developing their life skills
\n- Supporting the child's engagement with Education, training and employment.
\n- Facilitating engagement with broader support services and health appointments
\n- Transporting young people as and when necessary
\n- Adhering to Philomena Protocol if children go missing from home
\n- Maintaining a daily log / incident report and completing a full handover with colleagues
\n- Adhering to all organisational policies relating to safeguarding, Health and Safety and general data protection regulation
\n- Promoting good relationships with neighbours and the wider community
\n
\n
Personal Specification - in order to be considered for this role you must fit the following criteria:
\n
\n- A minimum of 6 months experience working with Children and Young People in the health and social care sector
\n- Have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young Person's Health and Social Care OR be willing to work towards this qualification
\n- Experience working with challenging behaviour and/or complex needs
\n- Be reliable and professional
\n- Preferably hold a current, transferable DBS (registered on the update service)
\n- Preferably hold a clear driving licence, with access to a vehicle
\n
\n
Working hours:
\n
\n- Weekend Work
\n- 12 hour day and nights
\n- 6 hour respite
\n
