Welder/Fabricator

Kenect Recruitment are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our longstanding client based in Leicester, in the engineer industry.

Shifts: Monday to Friday

Shift times: Day shifts

Pay rate: starting from £16ph

Duties

• Fabricate metal components according to specifications and drawings.
• Assemble parts and structures using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform welding tasks.
• Utilise sheet metal and other materials effectively in fabrication processes.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process, making necessary adjustments.
• Working components - Conveyor belts etc
• Nights out/ working away - as and when required (occasional)

Requirements

• Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience working with sheet metal is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in the technical sector
• Experience in working with bespoke items - ranging in size
• Experience in Shot blasting/ Press break would be advantageous.
