Job Description

Our client is looking for an organised and detail-oriented part-time semi-skilled Welder / Production Operative to work on manufacturing industrial sensors.

\n

Alongside this role, which we expect to fill 2-3 days per week, there are other functions within their manufacturing area that you may become involved with.

What you will need

  • The main function will involve metalwork fabrication for our made-to-order sensors.\n
  • \n
  • The ability to work with small components.\n
  • \n
  • Machine shop experience of using manual machines such as lathes and pillar drills would be an advantage.\n
  • \n
  • Some experience of electro-mechanical assembly would also be an advantage but training can be provided.\n
  • \n
  • As the products are bespoke and made to order, you must possess excellent attention to detail.\n
  • \n
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential.\n
  • \n
  • Cutting and preparing stainless steel tubes.\n
  • \n
  • Drilling of metal fittings using a lathe.\n
  • \n
  • Cleaning parts in preparation for welding.\n
  • \n
  • \nTiG welding of tubes and fabrications using our semi-automatic welding lathe.\n
  • \n
  • Silver soldering.\n
  • \n
  • Polishing and finishing work to a high standard.\n
  • \n
  • Inspection and quality control.\n
  • \n
  • Wire and cable preparation.\n
  • \n
  • Fine wire welding.
  • \n

Competitive £13.50 per hour.

On local bus route. Every 30 minutes from the Maidenhead railway station, about 15 minutes bus ride to the workshop.
