Job title: Welder br br Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position. br br Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun – Based on site and must be able to attend a recruitment day in Glasgow. br br Salary: £37,318.00 (additional shift allowance of 33% may be applicable) br br Requirements: Trade Papers to be provided when submitting application br br What you’ll be doing: br br Welding different materials (carbon & stainless steel & aluminium) br br Welding using different welding processes i.e., Manual Metal Arc, Metal Active Gas, Metal Inert Gas, Automatic & Semi-Automatic Machine Welding (Submerged – Arc & KAT) & Resistance Welding (Stud Welding) br br Welding butts and fillets to a high standard br br Main process – FCAW / MAG – using ceramic tiles br br Self-verification on all welds br br Adhering to all SHE related standards associated with welding, including fume control br br Your skills and experiences: br br Modern Apprenticeship certificate also known as Trade Papers (you will be required to provide papers) br br Ceramic Tile Welding Knowledge br br Knowledge and experience in Welding and use of associated equipment br br Flux core arc welding experience br br Deposit welds that pass both visual and NDE examinations br br Materials experience of welding carbon steel thickness 4-10mm range br br Clear understanding of SHE and Risk Assessment awareness br br Background in major construction / manufacturing environment br br Welding with MCAW consumables br br Welding aluminium with MIG process br br Welding with automated equipment br br Please ensure you have attached a copy of your qualifications when submitting your application. br br Benefits: br br As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. br br The Welder team: br br In the Welder team, we’re doing work that impacts the world.
