Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Welding Inspector to join our clients team in Worksop.

In this l role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all welding operations meet the stringent quality and safety standards set forth by the industry and our organisation. You will be working within a Precast facility.

As a Welding Inspector, you will conduct comprehensive inspections of welded components, assess welding procedures, and verify compliance with industry specifications and regulatory requirements. Your keen eye for detail and high standards will contribute to maintaining the integrity of our projects, ensuring that every weld adheres to quality benchmarks that reflect our commitment to excellence.

You will engage closely with engineers, welders, and project managers, providing insights and recommendations for improving welding operations and reducing defects. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting findings, preparing reports, and participating in quality assurance initiatives. The successful candidate will possess strong analytic skills and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of welds and welding operations to ensure compliance with project specifications and design requirements.
  • Interpret and apply relevant codes, standards, and specifications related to welding.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and documentation for all welding activities.
  • Collaborate with welders and engineers to provide feedback and guidance for improving welding techniques and processes.
  • Identify and report non-conformance issues, recommending suitable corrective actions to address deficiencies.
  • Conduct visual inspections and tests on welded components to assess quality and safety.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge of welding processes and inspection methods.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Welding Inspector in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, processes, and materials.
  • Excellent analytic skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey inspection findings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
