We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Cardiff. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide essential support to pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons, ensuring activities are accessible to all students.
• Support individual pupils or small groups, offering guidance to help them meet their learning goals.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
• Monitor and encourage pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
• Help with classroom organisation and administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth running of the school day.

About You

To excel in this role, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with fluency in Welsh. A patient and empathetic approach, combined with a passion for supporting children’s education, is essential.

Requirements

• Fluent Welsh speaker (essential).
• Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to challenges.
• A commitment to promoting the Welsh language and culture within education.
