Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, particularly with WordPress, and will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality websites. You will work closely with designers and other developers to ensure that our web projects are delivered on time and meet the highest standards of functionality and design.



Duties




  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance website functionality.

  • Collaborate with designers to implement responsive web design principles, ensuring optimal viewing experiences across various devices.

  • Write clean, maintainable code using best practices in PHP, JavaScript, SCSS, and TypeScript.

  • Manage database interactions using SQL for efficient data retrieval and storage.

  • Configure and maintain server environments on AWS and Linux platforms to ensure smooth deployment of web applications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance, security, and usability.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and contribute innovative ideas.



Skills




  • Proficiency in WordPress development, including theme and plugin creation.

  • Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.

  • Experience with Visual Studio for code editing and debugging.

  • Knowledge of SQL for database management.

  • Familiarity with AWS services for hosting applications.

  • Experience working in a Linux environment is advantageous.

  • Understanding of modern front-end technologies such as SCSS and TypeScript.

  • Basic knowledge of Python is a plus but not essential.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.



Advantage but not essential:




  • Technical SEO experience.

  • Ability to make or suggest design changes
