Tired of waiting for that promotion? Ready to take the next step into management?

I'm working with a well-established arable farming enterprise. The business integrates modern technology, including GPS steering systems, yield mapping, fertiliser application technology, and N sensors, requiring a good level of computer literacy.

The Role:

This position is ideal for an experienced farm foreman looking to step up into a managerial role. While not expected to be in a tractor full-time, the successful candidate should be capable of operating machinery when needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day farm operations, ensuring efficient workflow across multiple sites.
  • Managing record-keeping, compliance, and farm management software.
  • Supervising and supporting the existing team, including seasonal staff.
  • Overseeing grain drying and storage management.
  • Contributing to strategic farm planning and operational improvements.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong experience in combinable crop farming and farm management systems.
  • Excellent computer literacy, particularly in farm management and precision farming software.
  • Capable of managing farm records, compliance, and operational logistics.
  • Practical knowledge of machinery operation but not primarily a tractor-driving role.
  • FACTS/BASIS certification is not required, as the business works with two agronomists.
  • PA1 and PA2 certifications and a forklift (FLT) certificate would be advantageous.
