Works Manager

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Works Manager on behalf of a successful multi-disciplinary business here in the North East.

They have secured a large number of works in the region and beyond, and with this require the opening to assist the Contracts Managers in driving the labour force throughout their sites.

Within the role your main duties will consist of the following:

• Supporting the workforce in key areas of schemes and directing workflow between each.


• Ensuring staff have the relevant qualifications/tickets to operate machinery in a safe manner


• Carry out site inspections, site inductions and toolbox talks


• Review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements and promote a safe working environment


• Sourcing and ordering materials for site


• Attend weekly progress meetings with clients and contractors


• Keeping site diaries, quality forms etc in order


• Overseeing temporary works and programme for upcoming works

Experience Required:

• Must have experience working as Works Manager on varied civil engineering / infrastructure projects.


• Must have experience delivering: Drainage, Structures, Public Realm etc.


• Must hold: CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid and full driving license.


• Beneficial: NRSWA, Temporary Works, Appointed Person etc.

Remuneration:

A salary of up to �60,000 (dependant upon experience) plus company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, annual leave, healthcare, pension scheme and other benefits.
