Workshop Tanker Technician
Location Morley, West Yorkshire.
Salary £38k to £42k
Monday to Friday .
Permanent full-time – 10 hour shift, Mon-Fri with 30 mins paid break per day and 1 hr per day unpaid lunch break.
We are looking for an experienced technician to maintain and repair waste vacuum tankers and other tanker types in our Morley workshops or off-site. As a key member of our technical team, you would become an ambassador for our tanker products, including Cappellotto waste tankers, and delivery training / familiarisation on & off site as required.

Responsibilities:
* To inspect, service and repair tankers (primarily vacuum waste tankers) to a high maintenance standard. Pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical welding and diagnostics work will be undertaken.
* To learn and become a subject matter expert on our Cappellotto waste tankers.
* Workshop based role, sometimes working in teams. Also, occasionally service van repairs at remote locations across the UK, using a fully kitted out WTS/TIP MSU service van to attend these locations.
* Perform operational training and product familiarisation to customers and other stakeholders on tanker equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Time served experience working with tankers (preferably waste tankers) or HGV types (including trucks and trailers) would be a strong advantage.
* Experience in similar fields to road tankers would be considered, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, plant machinery or other similar vehicle types.
* City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications in a similar areas would be an advantage
* Previous mobile working experience would be an advantage
* High level of enthusiasm & good communication skills
* Basic knowledge of computers and ability to complete relevant written documentation
* Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
* Initiative to work autonomously if required.
