Job Title: Yard Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break, (Some Saturday mornings as and when required)
Location: Sudbury, DE6 5GX

We have eight depots in Newport (Shropshire), Shrewsbury, Sudbury, Welshpool, Middlewich, Ormskirk, Denbigh and Knighton.

About the Role
The yard assistant is required to be a confident machine operator with a keen eye for detail and organisation to give a professional and leading edge feel to the depot.
The preparation of new and used machines is a key part of the role supporting the service team, cleaning and pre-sale preparation of machinery also as and when the need arises the requirement for small repairs to equipment and machinery.
The support of all departments is a vital role by taking the lead supporting suppliers deliveries and collections made to the depot.
Delivery of machines and equipment to support demos and the sales team.
(This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour week from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday with a requirement to work Saturday mornings as and when required.)
Responsibilities On a day-to-day basis you will (this list is not exhaustive):
Clean and prepare new and used machines for sale.
Keep yard and premises clean and tidy.
Loading and unloading.
Help and assist with delivering demo and new machines
Candidate Requirements
Familiar with operating agricultural machines
Forklift / telehandler qualification (training can be provided)
Clean driving licence
Able to work extra hours when needed and work in a team
