Job Overview

Taylormade Employment are delighted to be working alongside a local industry client seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join their team. This is a family ran business and working with a small team- the ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised yard environment, ensuring that all materials and equipment are stored properly.

Duties

• Perform routine yard maintenance, including cleaning and organising materials and equipment.


• Assist in loading and unloading materials from vehicles.


• Ensure all tools and equipment are stored safely after use.


• Maintain a tidy work area to promote safety and efficiency.


• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.


• Report any issues or hazards in the yard to the supervisor promptly.


• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.


• Operating Forklift Trucks and various machinery

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.


• Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and being on your feet for extended periods.


• Basic knowledge of yard maintenance tools and equipment is advantageous.


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


• Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.


• A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices in the workplace.


• FLT Licence


• Machinery experience
