Yard Operative / Van Driver - Builders Merchants

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Yard Operative that has previously worked in a Builders Merchants / Building Supplies to join their busy client in Burnt Oak, Edgware. The successful candidate will have a Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points. This is a full-time permanent role and a great opportunity to join a great company that truly values their staff.

The working hours for this role are: Monday to Friday 07:00am to 4:30pm & 1 Saturday on 1 off 07:00am to 11:30am

Salary: £27k to £28.5k DOE

The role involves:

• picking orders (80% Yard work)
• loading and unloading vehicles
• checking goods in
• operating counterbalance
• providing a great customer service to customers who come in to the yard and receiving deliveries 
• going out to do deliveries in the Van (20% Van Driving)

To be considered for this role you must have / be:

• previously worked in a builders merchant
• no more than 6 point on licence
• a minimum of 2 years yard operative experience
• counterbalance forklift experience is preferable but not essential
• fluent English speaking, reading and writing
• physically fit
• health and safety concious
• reliable and a hard worker
