Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Stalybridge

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm 

Primary Industry: Recycling 

Salary: £13.50 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Description:

As a Yard Operative based in Stalybridge, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of duties in the yard. Your primary tasks will include:

Brief day to day duties – Yard Operative will be working outside, unloading and loading vehicles, tipping material, requires lifting, sorting material, unpacking, spotting potential hazards and potential uplift in revenue.  All training will be given

Job Duties:

• Sorting and organising materials in the yard
• Assisting with loading and unloading of goods
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Operating machinery and equipment as required
• Assisting with stocktaking and inventory control

Required Qualifications:

• No Must have FLT CB licence IN DATE NOT IN HOUSE 

Education:

• Basic education level preferred

Experience:

• Prior experience in a similar role advantageous but not essential

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift licence desirable but not essential

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor working environment in all weather conditions
• May involve heavy lifting and physical exertion
• Full-Time hours with occasional weekend work
