Through your guidance, pupils will develop critical thinking skills, enabling them to reason and make informed choices throughout their lives.

Year 1 Key responsibilities

Curriculum Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives based on Year 1 curriculum standards

Deliver Read Write Inc phonics, using supplemetal resources where appropriate to achive strong progress in reading and writing

Individualised Support: Identify and addressindividual needs, providing additional support or challenge as required to ensure their academic and personal growth.

Formative and Summative Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to monitor pupil progress and use data to inform instruction and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning, mutual respect, and active participation

Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, including regular updates, parent-teacher meetings, and responding to inquiries or concerns promptly.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth by engaging in regular CPD opportunities, staying up to date with current educational practices, and implementing new strategies in the classroom.

Essential Requirements

• QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 highly desirable)
• 2 professional references which demonstrate your teaching competency
• Be subject to an enhanced DBS check and Police Check (if applicable)
• Right to work in the UK
