Role Responsibilities

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
  • Support students' development in literacy, numeracy, and other essential skills.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all children can thrive.
  • Assess and track pupils' progress, tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about students' progress and achievements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and contribute to the overall success of the school.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and promote pupils' welfare at all times.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
  • A strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and early childhood development.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
