Teaching Assistant (Year 1) - Primary School in Stockport

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a Year 1 class at a welcoming primary school in Stockport. This long-term, full-time role involves supporting a significant number of students with additional needs, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact.

The Role:

• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Location: Stockport
• Class: Year 1
• Responsibilities:
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for children with SEND.
  • Assisting the teacher in delivering an inclusive and engaging curriculum.
  • Helping to create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Supporting children's social, emotional, and academic development.
• Contract Type: Full-time, long-term.
• Pay Rate: £85 to £88 per day, depending on experience.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with SEND children in a school setting, particularly in KS1.
• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
• Is compassionate, proactive, and adaptable to different learning needs.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
