Year 2 Teacher - Full Time

Location: Lancaster, UK

Contract Type: Fixed term. From Easter until July 2025 (Initially one term)

Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience). Paid to scale.

Start Date: Tuesday 22nd April 2025 (for 12 months)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Lancaster. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, fostering a love for learning, and supporting the development of every child in their care.

This position will start on Tuesday 22nd April 2025 for the full summer term.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, emotional, and social development of all pupils.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
• Contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities where possible.

About You:

• We are looking for a candidate who:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching Key Stage 1.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
• Is passionate about education and committed to creating an engaging learning environment.
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is proactive, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
