Year 4 Teacher

A wonderful school based in Hyde are looking for a committed KS2 teacher to join their excellent, dedicated team of staff from October!

On behalf of my client school, Tradewind are looking for a hard-working teacher to lead a Year 4 class from October half-term until the end of the academic year. This school are ideally looking for an experienced teacher with a background in subject leadership, however they are also open to applications from ECT's with direct KS2 experience.

The school is a single-form entry set-up situated in the heart of Hyde. It educates a vibrant community of children with an average % of FSM and a higher than average % of SEND. The school is well facilitated with extensive resources to support teaching and learning and benefits from beautiful outdoor spaces to support learning in the natural environment - something which the school like to encourage!

As the Year 4 teacher, you will be leading an average sized class of around 30 pupils and will be supported by a full-time TA who will plan and deliver interventions.

As the Year 4 teacher, you will be expected to:

- Plan and deliver lessons for both core and foundation subjects with lessons that are relevant and engaging and link learning experiences to real life

- Use a variety of formative and summative assessment methods to determine progress and report on pupil performance through online data collection tools

- Build a strong, trusting rapport with the class and utilise effective behaviour management strategies to ensure all pupils are engaged

- Work well as an individual and team player and be willing to share resources and act on advice to support best practice

-Communicate well with the TA to support with individual pupil progress and group interventions

-Value parents as partners in the learning process

-Adhere to all school policies

Essential Requirements

• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Be subject to an enhanced DBS check and overseas police check (if applicable)
• Provide details of two excellent references which support primary teaching experience in KS2
• Proof of right to work in the UK
