Year One Teacher

A large primary school in Watford is seeking an experienced Year One Teacher to join their Key Stage One team of dedicated teachers. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching primary school students, excellent classroom management skills, and be highly knowledgeable in the core curriculum.

Salary: Main Pay Scale 3 to Main Pay Scale 6
You will be essential to the students learning consisting of reading, writing, mathematics, science, and other subjects.
The school have a key focus on music and physical education. You will find spacious classrooms and dedicated learning areas for each subject. Around the corner is a large park/estate that the students have access to outdoor learning.
Responsibilities :
Plan lessons and activities that will engage and challenge primary school students
Assess and evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback
Utilise a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of all learners
Develop and implement classroom rules and routines
Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and parent-teacher conferences
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other data
