Location: Bristol
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37 per week

Our client is a leading provider of supported living services for young people aged 16-25, helping them to develop independence, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. They believe in creating a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive as they transition to independent living.


The Role of Young People Supported Living Manager:

As the Young People Supported Living Manager, you will lead a team of dedicated support workers, ensuring that high-quality care and support is provided to the young people in our services. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our supported living services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing person-centered support plans tailored to the individual needs of each young person.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supervising a team of support workers, providing leadership, guidance, and performance management.
  • Ensuring that all services are delivered in line with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding.
  • Developing and implementing individual support plans that promote independence, life skills, and personal growth.
  • Building strong relationships with external agencies, families, and other stakeholders to support positive outcomes for the young people in our care.
  • Monitoring service quality, conducting regular reviews, and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
  • Managing budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring value for money while maintaining high standards of care.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who has experience working with young people in a supported living or similar setting. You should have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver outstanding care. You must have experience working with Ofsted as the services are now regulated.

Key requirements include:

  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory role within supported living, or a similar environment.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people transitioning to independent living.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and Ofsted legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to promoting the rights, wellbeing, and independence of young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in social care, management, or a related field are desirable (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Children & Young People).
