Disclaimer: we do NOT condone pranking your colleagues   but it’s important to have some fun and let your creative side loose from time to time especially in light of April Fools’ Day. We’ve all seen The Office, and if you haven’t, what are you doing? 

I’ve decided to collect some of the most recreatable pranks from The Office to give you guys inspiration for some pranks you can do in you office – April Fools’ falls on a Saturday but you can do these pranks whenever to be honest.

1. Items in Jell-o

This prank was the first prank we see on the show and for good reason – it’s light-hearted and harmless yet still gets a reaction. I don’t see why putting a stapler or a pencil in some jelly wouldn’t be funny. I mean they can always eat their way out of it if they need it. All you’ll need for this prank is your colleagues stationary, jelly and a lot of time on your hands. 

2. Firing prank

Now I would hate to be on the receiving end of this prank but watching it take place is hilarious! Maybe try this prank on someone less likely to go off and say some not nice things about the company? What makes this funnier is that he fake fires Pam twice…

3. Convinced Thursday was Friday

Another harmless prank you could do on your colleagues and make them excited. It is a lot of effort but should be easy to get everyone on board. To be fair, in the show, Dwight initiates the prank on himself, and Jim carries it on, but same principle!

4. Pay co-workers into calling them wrong name

Straight forward and easy to carry out however, not everyone might react as Dwight did…depending on how long it goes on for.

5. Use a macro to auto-correct

This is when Jim uses a macro on Dwight’s computer to change his name to “diapers”. This is the perfect prank to do in an office but you’ll need their log in... We don’t condone invading people’s privacy.

6. Swap chairs

There’s always that chair in the office that everyone hates so why not use April Fools’ as a chance to annoy someone with it LOL. 

 7. Tricked into thinking it’s 5:00

When the whole office convinces Michael it’s 5 o’clock so they can leave early, I don’t know if it counts as a prank as much as it does a reward for the rest of the office. 

8. Adding keys to key ring

Although this prank flopped and I don’t know anyone that carries a key chain as big as Dwight’s the idea is funny and I’m sure you could recreate it with something else. Why don’t you keep stealing their pens every time they restock them. 

9. Links cell phone to headset and take calls

As we all know, Jim is very invested in pranking Dwight, and if you don’t know…go watch the show! He takes it one step further and forwards his desk phone to his. But you can stop at forwarding the one device.

10. Calling a hidden phone

I wouldn’t recommend pulling this prank on someone that had anger issues like Andy, but if you pick the right person, this could be a fun day for the rest of the office.
