Maybe there is something you REALLY want to do, but you are scared to do... or you have this vision of your career life, but have no idea how to get there. I want to start this blog post by letting you know everyone starts at zero. 

Failure is critical to success and growth

Yet failure is critical to success and growth so today we are going to share with you our most recent learning. To paint like Picasso flawlessly, you must first create terrible paintings and learn from your mistakes.

I will paint a picture for you. On the 20^th of July 2021 Apply4U we had our first ever free live Job coaching event and here is a short summary of how it went. From an ‘internet troll’, a couple of spelling mistakes to the CVs laid out on the screen being too small and not visible, we had a blast learning with you.

Here is the thing... we are not perfect and we will make mistakes. Unfortunately, we do not have any human errors protection shield but we want to make things right! 

So instead of listening to that voice of doubt and fear called ‘imposter syndrome’ that keeps you playing small and holds you back, we decided to try again. When our candidates face rejection, the first thing we tell them is to put themselves and their work back out there, and to embrace everything that comes with that process. 

Openness to learning 

We are taking our own advice, and we already started working on another webinar to build upon some of our mistakes. To accomplish this we sat down with our team and made a list of the biggest mistakes made and how to avoid them in the future.

Here’s that list:

• Make sure they get the alert! Make sure they get the alert! Make sure they get the alert! Make sure they get…We did an awful job in notifying people for the live event on LinkedIn. Promise we will do better next time.
•  The quality of our work will determine how we are judged. And the best way to ensure we always exceed expectations is by making sure that we check, check, and recheck our material.
• Write our content so that it can be easily seen on all devices, providing viewers a pleasant viewing experience.
